Trigger PO release strategy

Dear all gurus,

The user wanted to re-trigger the PO release strategy upon the changes of the PO quantity (with values), however, the system is unable to trigger the release strategy again.

I've checked the following setting.

Original PO quantity = 10000 pcs

New PO quantity = 10020 pcs

PO output printed

Tolerance limit set to 10% (upper limit)

Release indicator set to "6-if new strat./value chg/outputted"

Is there any other other conditions/setting need to be checked in order to re-trigger the PO release strategy?

HI,

Have you maintained the following indicators

B - 4 - 10 % Blocked, changeable

R - 6 - 0 % Released

Read as Relase ID, Indicator, Percentage, description.

Dear Kiran,

The following setting is found in the configuration.

R - 6 - 0.1% (10%) - for released

X - 4 - 0.1% - for not approved

My release strategy is using the above two (2) release indicators

Hi,

Change the settings which i have told and try and see.

If it is 0.1 % then how will you say it is 10% value change??

Hi,

Sorry for one mistake, there is no tolerance limit. Meantime, I also realized that the PO quantity was initially entered with the quantity of 12,000 (checked the log). After we did a couple of testing again, we found the standard SAP behaviour is as follows (version 4.7).

If the latest, new quantity is bigger than the previous quantity but it is smaller than the biggest quantity ever entered, the system will not trigger the release strategy again.

E.g. 1. 01/08/2008 - Initial quantity = 12000 EA - trigger.

2. 15/08/2008 - Change quantity = 10000 EA - no trigger due to

changing from big to small figure.

3. 31/08/2008 - Change quantity = 10500 EA - no trigger due to

the manager has ever approved as high as 12000 EA.

Hi,

In release procedure u have a options in that u select if there is a change in qty / value it should go to release again.
