Calling workbook in process chain

Can we call workbooks using process chains / planning sequences.

I want to execute workbooks without user intervention. (Schedule)

Note: Without windows scheduler

I think we can use scheduling broad cast settings for workbooks (precalculation) but can we execute functions also...

I want to schedule to execute functions/buttons in workbook.

You can schedule all the planning functions/planning sequences automatically by integrating in process chains.

Remember planning functions are run against the realtime cube so I don't understand why do you want to run the workbooks automatically. Well if its to warm up the cache, then I think Broadcast settings will let you do it.

I thnk your solution should be to run the planning functions in process chain and run the workbook thru Information broadcast settings
