Snapshot InfoCube

Gurus,

I keep hearing the term "Snapshot InfoCube". When I double-click on this InfoCube, I dont see any difference i.e. still the standard

InfoCube, using Update Rule etc.

Can you please explain what/how does this Snapshot different from other? i.e. from ETL or dataflow or datasource perspective, what/how does it different?

It is norman cube, but the difference is that it contains Non-cumulative key figures. And the behaviour of non-cumulative key figures are diffrent that cumulative key figures.In that sense, it differs from other.

Hi,

The modelling part will look exactly same compared to other cube. Its called so because it is used to handle snapshot data in Inventory. The difference, you can say, is that it containes many Non-Cumulatice Key figures and hence it is a non-cumulative infocube. You can reda more here:
