Combine two charts - Hide the X axis of the top chart?

Hello,

I have two charts that will be based on the same X axis. I'm using CR2008.

My team would like me to create a chart that is basically two charts (one above another). The first would show the chart but not show the X axis. It will have two series.

The bottom chart would show the the X axis. Both are line graphs. It will have one series.

How would you go about doing this?

Thanks.

As a side note, I could create one chart with all three series, but the scale would be thrown off since the first two series will be significantly larger in number than the bottom series.

Glenn,

I would suggest using 1 chart but using dual Y axis. Right click on the chart and select Chart Options > Axes tab and there is the option for Dual Axis. Once this is selected the Multi-Axes tab is available and you can specify which series is associated with each Y axis.

Other wise you could highlight the components of the first chart and suppress the data labels, X axis, etc...
