Hello All,
What would the URL be to open an iView in the portal framework. I have tried the following:
http://server:port/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.portal.navigation.portallauncher.default/?... location of role to be opened.
This does not work, it opens a blank screen
Anyone got any ideas where I am going wrong?
Thanks.
Nick.
Hi ,
Try this URL
http://<portal-server>:port/irj/index.html?NavigationTarget=ROLES://<PCD Location>
For example
PCD Location :-
portal_content/MyRole/MyFolder/MyTest/MyIview
Try it and let me know whetehr it works or not
Thanks & Regards,
Lokesh

Hi Nick,
Look for the short navigation Url in System admin->navigation url.
Search for your role.. select your shortest url.
or you can search in sdn with Short navigation url.

Parth

Hey Nick..
You Have Tried the following..
http://server:port/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.portal.navigation.portallauncher.default/?... location of role to be opened.
This will not work because You have mentioned here the Quick info location of the role/iview to be opened....
that is required when you are doing Navigation via API..not for URL iviews...
In you case what you need to do is..
Create your URL iVIEW..
And for getting any iview's URL
Then do as Mayank said in Above link...
Select ...Open in new window option...its positioned along with History, Back options..in Right Hand Side..
Thanks...

Hi...
I cant understand what exactly you want to do..
If you have an existing iView and you want to display it in portal framework in a normal browser, u need to:
Go to the PCD location of the iview, and from the PCD,ryt click on the iView and click Preview.
It shows you the iView in a new window, with the URL in the Address Bar.This is the URL that you should use to access the iView.
Hope this is what you wanted....
