Maximum Characters in Application Server file

Hi,

I am trying to transfering a line of length 2500 characters to application server. But When i view the contents of it using AL11 transaction, i can see only 512 characters. Is there any limitation on number of characters to be written to the application server or it is a setting that basis team can change based on the requirement?

you can see only limited characters in AL11 but actual data of 2500 characters gets stored in Application server... To view the same use CG3Y transaction and download data to presentation server from application server and view it..
