Is it possible to delete the mails that have gone in the UWL of a user? if yes, how? I logged in the user's ID and went in sbwp but am unable to delete UWL mails. I already did a search in the forum but could not find an answer to my query. Request help. <removed by moderator>

Hi sap_apab,

I got this message from one of the forum.

==> from the link provided three messages earlier. This is hardly a new contribution, points unassigned. Please always quote source, the [Rules of Engagement|https://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/HOME/RulesofEngagement] explain why this is a good thing

hi,

If you want delete the workitem why you are going to SBWP. Go UWL in Portal of the user and delete the unwanted workitems.

Thanks and Regards

Hi,

You cannot delete workitems you have to use a WAPI to set the workitems to complete...

SAP_WAPI_WORKITEM_COMPLETE or SAP_WAPI_SET_WORKITEM_COMPLETED

make the workitem as ASYNCHRONOUS and create a TERMINATING EVENT to remove the WORKITEM from UWL.

Hope this would help you.

Good luck

Wont it be better to delete the workitem instead ??? Since our user wants us to delete all those UWLs which are pending for a particular time period....

Hi,

Rather maintain a DEADLINE MONITORING setting ACTION as MODELLED and if the time reaches then it

would display a notification message along with making WORKITEM obsolete..

Or use WAPI's i had stated instead.

Good luck

I am not sure as to what you mean by "make the workitem as ASYNCHRONOUS and create a TERMINATING EVENT " ? When i execute the BAPI, all that i provide is the workitem ID. What else am I to do? Am not having good hands on events still. But if required, I would start on it.
