Hi
we are going for newer sap version(ecc6) so we need all the the data present in ecc5
Can we transfer the data from ecc5 to ecc6 version using xi or it is better to go with ale.

Hi,
We can do many ways like RFC, IDOC or XI. Depends on environment we can choose function.
1. if both severs in single network we can choose RFC or IDOC.
2. If both system are in different network choose XI/PI

U can transfer using SAP XI... Thr r diff adapters idoc,rfc,soap,http,file etc for that in XI . Monitoring is simple in XI.
