Safety Stock

I would like to include Safety stock into MRP. I mean, whenever the stock level goes below safety stock MRP should generate the procurement proposal.

Could you please tell wh setting is required to meet the above requirement?

NOTE: Other than reorder point planning

Hy Natraj,

For this you need to maintain safety stock in Material master (MRP 2) along with MRP type PD

After maintaining it system will take care for the safety stock.You will find it in MD04 screen.whenever stock falls below this level system will generate Procurement to recover the less qty.

For example you have define Safety stock 500 kg for material X.

Available stock is 100 kg.

Dependent requirement is 200 kg.

Then during Next MRP run (Not automatically) system will generate

PR for 600 kg (500kg +200kg -100kg ).

Thanks for your response.

MRP is not creating a procurement proposal when the availablae quantity is falling below safety stock level. MRP Type maintained is P3.

Please check in OMDQ automatic calculate safety stock for your MRP type F3?

In OPPR Maintenance of MRP Group, for each plant and MRPgroup define the pecentage upto which safety stock defined in Material Master can be used .

Safety stock can be added or excluded in your actual stock dependig upon your "scope of check" configuration in availability check also.

In Material Master under MRP2 View-> Under Net Requirement calculation -> you can maintain safety stock Qty.
