Material General data mandatory .

Hi Gurus,

I have a problem with MM01 screen.Problem is Material fields is mandatory.

As per my knowledge material mandatory is depends on number ranges means to say it depaends on internal and external number ranges.If it is internal after giving industry sector and material type system will go to creation screen and if external number assignment then it will ask to enter material number.

But mine is internal number assignment, it is showing error message " Fill required fields "

what is the problem i dont know?

Please help me to solve the problem.

Hi,

Go to OMS2 and for material type check whether "External No. Assignment w/o check" is active, if yes then remove and save.

Also check in MMNR, whether material type has been assigned properly under the No. Range Group or not?

Then check in MM01.
