selecting alternative BOM manual

hi all;

can I make manual selection of alternatives BOM in running MRP? I can manuel select the production version, but also I want to select the alternatives BOM?

is it possilble??

I think you are not understand me, I want to select MANUAL.NOT AUTOMATIC.

I read all you send helps document and Sdn thread..

I want to change when production versionselected by manual.after this selection also I want to change alternative BOM by manualll..

Hi,

No , there is no way that you can select manual Production version or Alt BOM during MRP.

But do one thing Change manual Production version is plan order which was created during MRP.Then through MD02/MD41 again run MRP by selecting Planing mode 2 - explode BOM and Routing.

Hi,

The automatic determination of alternatives is controlled by settings in

the material master record, as well as by the application. In the

material master record, you can define how alternatives are selected in

the "Alternative BOM" field. You can have alternatives selected

according to:

o order quantity (lot size)

o date

o production version

The following criteria are defined in the application:

o order of priority of BOM usages (selection ID)

o priority of one alternative of an individual multiple BOM, depending

on date

You can define for each application whether the settings made in

step "Define alternative determination for multiple BOMs" are

active. However, these settings are only active if you define in the

material master that alternatives are selected by date.

o production versions

If you have chosen alternative selection according to production

version in the material master, you can define here for each

application whether this setting is active. If you define that this

setting is ignored, alternative BOMs for the material are selected

according to order quantity (lot size) for the application

concerned.

BOM status indicator

Only BOMs that have at least this status are read for automatic

determination of alternatives.

Hi,

In MRP4 view of FERT material u have given option 2 in BOM slection method.

If you want to choose a particular production version with alternative BOM, assuming that u r not willing to change the lot size or valid from & to date,then u lock the production versions which you dont want to show to the system before running MRP except the one which u r willing to choose.

The other way is u manitain different lot size and acccordingly the production version will be selected by the system or validity or lot size.
