Changing / designing Web UI skin

Former Member

Hi all,

I'm currently in the process of changing a skin for the web ui but I've been running into a problem...

I can edit the css files without any problems, but I can't seem to figure out where to find the html files. I tried downloading the website but that doesn't work.

Does any one have some tips for me concerning this problem?

Thanks!

Sammy

Hello Sammy,

afaik it is not surprising you do not find any html for styles. There are none.

The styles of the WebClient are completely defined by CSS and some nifty JavaScript. All styles can be checked out via SE80 in BSP-Application THTMLB_STYLES. Additional information on this is available in the SAP RampupKnowledgeTransfer courses. Maybe you have those or can attend/get ahold of them.

I have only done very basic adjustments to the styles myself (new color, new logo, etc.) but as you can see with the SAP skins there is a lot possible.

In case you would like to redefine the whole L-Shape this will be a lot of work. There is some customizing in the IMG defining which components are used in the L-Shape but a completely new layout is not possible here.

cheers Carsten
