Transaction AB08- asset reversal document , The system is not giving a error message when they try to reverse somethingthat was done in period 5,but it does give an error message for the previous years, he checked and its only open for period 6.

Plzs. help me out in analysing the problem.

Arun,

Asset accounting is caculating all the values (depreciation) based on a fiscal year and don't change values for old fiscal years.

The result is you can't reverse postings from old fiscal years in the current fiscal year and all posting in the current year you can reverse later in the fiscal year.
