When you process a sales order using the standard version of the SAP R/3 System, the system can automatically carry out basic functions, such as the following:
Pricing, Availability check (if this function is defined in the material master record), Transferring requirements to materials planning (MRP), Delivery scheduling, Shipping point and route determination, Checking credit limits.. etc.
