Hi

I want inactive material because we are ready to stop the manufacturing of material . (but some special cases we have to give material to the customers)

how do we configure

Hi,

In Basic Data 1 for that material maintaint the Cross plant matl status as --

02 -- Blocked for Tasklist/BOM so that it cann't be used for Production purpose.

But it will allow for all other process -- Sales/Procurement/Costing etc.

but some special cases if has to give customers. Already the material stopped production however some customers asked for old material in that case we have to assign the stock

go to OMS4 and create a new indicator in which block the

mat requirement

routing

prodctin

then use it in material purchase view >mat plant status

donot block the inventory options

Hi,

In some cases if the customer asks for that same old material, if you have stock you can send the same stock to the customers.

If stock is not there how can you send the same old material qty.

At that you need to remove this blocked status and can proceed for production purpose.

Hi,

You can set block function for Material with MM02, Basic Data1 view.

Here you select X - Plant Mat. Status and set 02 indicator for material.

Here you can see X - Plant Mat. Status set 02 indicator for material.

Other wise you can create one serrate status for material with OMS4 and control manufacture and inventory for material.

Then assign it to material master.
