I need to find out what would be involved in changing our accounting year closing periods to 4-4-5 closing.
What would be involved in changing the closing periods in the system to be in a 4-4-5 pattern, in other words, four weeks, four weeks then five weeks and cycle back so the system tracks the correct dates that the period close occurs.
We would want to reconfigure the periods to a 4-4-5 methodology with the following period closing dates. Is this possible. If so, how big of problem is it to change from our current configuration?
Month Weeks Close Date
January 4 Sat 01/26/08
February 4 Sat 02/23/08
March 5 Sat 03/29/08
April 4 Sat 04/26/08
May 4 Sat 05/24/08
June 5 Sat 06/28/08
July 4 Sat 07/26/08
August 4 Sat 08/23/08
September 5 Sat 09/27/08
October 4 Sat 10/25/08
November 4 Sat 11/22/08
December 5 Sat 12/27/08
January 2009 4 Sat 01/24/09

you need to use OB29
Depending on when you want to switch you will need to create a shortened Fiscal Year.
You then need to define a year Dependent Fiscal Year Variant, and then assign that to the Company Codes you use.

Hi!
You can close your period on 4-4-5 week of month.
T-code : OB52. (Manually)
I think so you can executive backgorund job every month on 4 (date).

Rup
