Hide materials

Hi,

I have 2 plants linked to a company code.

My client requirement is:

All the material which belongs to only one plant should not display in other plant.

Do we have any criteria in SAP to execute these type of scenarios.

Hi

Create materials master records with respect to plant 1 and not plant2. no settings is needed other than this.

If the Material Exists in Both Plants then You can See them in other Plant also.

Contact your Basis Administrator and ask him to Set Authorization as per your requirement.

if u r going o create materials then create them in only one plant so they will disply in that plant only

if u have already created and u dont want to use them in ur plant then u have to flag them for deletion

using MM06 or for mass change use MASS

if u want it to hide only then ask basis person

ask basis consultant to give authorisations based on plants, so that user will not be able to view data maintained in other plant

HI,

First you have create materials with respect to Plant 1. Then in case if you want the same materials in plant 2 as well then we will extend these materials to Plant 2 via MM01 and giving the material numbers and plant as plant 2. By doing this we will get the same materials in Plant 1 & 2.

In case if you dont want in plant 2 then dont extend the plant 1 materials to plant 2 as told above then you will not get the list of materials in plant 2

To via the materials use tcode MM60 followed by the plant code and execute.
