Development Environment : Visual Studio 2005 ASP.NET, SQL SERVER 2005 , CRYSTAL REPORTS IX. SERVER WINDOWS 2008 SERVER

I am a rather peculiar issue, I have developed the reports and they are all working find in the development environment. The same i have tried to test with the test environment using an windows XP PRO as a test server every thing works fine. The issue is when i promote it to the server windows 2008 server i get a load report failed . I have also tried to use the literal referencing such as @D:\tms\octraves\bos\asp_net\reports\ still the same. I have also tried to hard code the paths yet i receive a load report failed error.

I see a lot files created the temp directory with the name of report. I have also changed the temp directory permissions to include iis. yet nothing seems to work. Please help!... thanks in advance.

Hello Vysanakere,

unfortunately my help is only very limited.

Please do not deploy CR XI to win2008 OS.

This OS is not tested and not supported with CR XI.

Please see a [full list of supported OS here|http://service.sap.com/~form/sapnet?_SHORTKEY=00200797470000086718&_OBJECT=011000358700001092722008E].

Even the latest edition [Reports XI Release 2 u2013 Service Pack 4|http://service.sap.com/~form/sapnet?_SHORTKEY=00200797470000086812&_OBJECT=011000358700001080932008E] is not supported for Win2008.

Best regards

Dear Expert,

I have stated the version as Crystal Reports XI but the actual version is Crystal Reports 10.2.3600.0.

I assume that this is also not been tested as well. Now that we have already made the purchase for the server OS and the application is running. I have to think of some alternatives or work arrounds to deploy the reports and refer in the application.

Please suggest what would be next alternative to run the reports. I hope the support for the windows 2008 server is added asap. Most servers packages are bundled with the windows 2008.

thank you
