Cycle Counting Period

Hi,

Hi, for the cycle counting, If I set the couting period as monthly via customizing for the materials with CC indicator "A",

Physical inventory documents should always be created monthly via tcode LX26 for the materials with CC indicator "A" , right?

If you set your interval to monthly in customizing, then this just means that material with that indicator have to be counted every month.

Nothing will happen automatically.

The user still has to execute LX26 manually and has to specify the period that he wants to include for this count manually in the LX26 selection screen

Even you define 12 counts for A items in customizing, you can execute LX26 weekly or even daily. An A item that was counted on September 1st will then not be inlcuded in the PID for September 2nd.

Please keep in mind, if you allow mixed storage an you have A items together with other materials (maybe C items) in the same bin, then you have to count the entire bin. if one of the materials is due to be counted.

Yes. LX26 should be proposed based upon the CC indicator.

Hi,

If all the configuration setting are correct then it will create physical inventory doc monthly basis. LX26 means you are doing physical inventory at warehouse level check all the required setting for the same.
