Hi all,
Is there a way to determine that the material group comes under Stock or not stock account.
Please let me know.

Hello, Hemanth,
long story short -- no.
Long story long -- you can assign the material group to a stock material, then it can go to stock account (procurement to stock) or directly to consumtion account (procurement to consumption); you can assign the material group to a non-stock material, then you can procure it only to direct consumption; or, finally, you can procure items without material master (either with manual account entering, or with valuation class assigned to material group), then you can procure it only to direct consumption, again.
So it always depends on material master (or its absence), never on material group.
