Hi,
We are trying to create a Sales analysis report using Xl Reporter.
There are certain parameters that need to be entered by the User e.g. financial period, Item Group Name etc..
The dialog box which prompts for the user input when the report is executed, shows a long list of data to choose from i.e. in case of financial period the period from 2005-01 to 2008-09 is seen, with the period names, whereas we need only one column which shows the months.
Secondly, in case of Item Group name all the items with the group name is listed down...
Is there a way to set the way in which the appearance can be changed?

Hi all,
It is possible to us Expression to allow users to select multiple entries when executing the report.
However the user input dialog box is not that user friendly, the sysntax for entering the parameter needs to be explained to the user to get the output.

I don't think there is any easy ways to hide this data since all data from that fields would show up by default. The alternative is let frequent users remember the format of the code to input to parameter instead of selecting them to save time.
If you hard coded some restrictive conditions like the period >= 2008-01, you may find that is not always meet users needs. Sometimes they might need to go back in time.
