LDAP error

We are receiving following error recevied when trying to log into Desktoplaunch Infoview:

'Account Information Not Recognized: The secLdap plugin failed to connect to the specified hosts.'

I could find the following error in the Websphere server log:

ERROR com.crystaldecisions.sdk.plugin.authentication.ldap.internal.LDAPImpl - GetDirContext(): Failed to obtain InitialDirContext

Root exception is java.net.SocketException: Network is unreachable: connect]

However, we are able to log in using admin launch.

Has anybody faced such a problem before?

Please advise

The root cause was identified as a DNS resolution issue.

The Websphere server name was not getting resolved in a plugin file being used at the IIS layer.

Thanks.

I've moved this post to the Administration forum (which includes authentication issues)

There are several note's on that error. What version is on your server, and patch level?

Was this working at one point?

What type of LDAP server are you trying to connect to?

Initial setup of the LDAP plugin can be tricky, can you open a message with support to get help from an authentication engineer?
