Hi,

I am trying to upgrade from Oracle 9.2.0.4 to Oracle 10.2.0.2 according SAP documentation.

When dbua runs, on first screen it shows any Oracle to upgrade.

dbua shows a blank grid.

The /etc/oratab only shows 1 entry

FLN:/oracle/FLN/920_64:N

I have read a post in this forum telling about to run manually catupgrd.sql .

It works. The database is ok and everything worked fine.

I put a customer message to SAP OSS asking if it is a valid procedure and they answer me NO.

They told me I have to stop and analyze the problem slowly.

Is there someone with the same problem ?

Thank you.

Albert.

Did you check /oracle directory permissions?

As ora<sid> you can do a....

touch /oracle/test

it works right?

hi!

Check oratab permissions, if <ora>sid cannot read or change that file then you'll have problems during upgrade.

try to do a more /etc/oratab and touch /etc/oratab as <ora>sid. If everything is ok you should recreate manually that file to make sure you don't have garbage within the file.

Cheers
