Are we able to set up a report looking at .shp's

I hope I'm not way off course here, but I was wondering if CR is capable of looking and displaying shapefiles. I can open the .dbf component of a shapefile, but I was hoping to use the actual .shp in a report. I can't find any literature on it other than there is some sort of Mapinfo relationship, but I am looking at shapefiles not contained within a mapping program or project, they are simply sitting on the c drive of my computer. I do use mapping programs of course if that helps.

Thanks in advance for any tips or suggestions, even if it's not possible. Andrew.

Hi Andrew,

There is no mention of which Crystal Reports you are using, however, Crystal Reports cannot report off .shp files.

If you wish to view a listing of what is possible with either Crystal Reports XI Release 2 or CR2008, you can go to https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/businessobjects-articles

Specifically, these two links show what either version can report off:

CRXI Release 2:

CR2008:
