error in license check

Hi all,

After upgrading the system from 4.7 to ECC6.0.

I applied the new license key and deleted the old license.

when i am logging in to the system its showing error Logon not possible(error in license check).

please help me out anybody

Vishal,

Are you able to run "saplicense -show" at the OS level? Are you using an 'old' license key or one of the new license keys. Remember the new license keys cannot be installed by saplicense, they can only be installed in t-code slicense. You'll need to do this as SAP* as no other user ID will work until you've installed the license.

The other item to check that often creates this issue is a failure of the message server. Check your 'dev_ms' log file in the work directory to ensure everything is OK there.

Start with these 2 items and let us know how you do.
