Runtime Error

Hi,

I installed Crystal Reports without any errors, however I got runtime error message on the Start page after I ran the installed application. This error wouldnu2019t show if the pc is not connected to the internet. The application produces the same error message on all the machines that I have the application installed on. My guess is the application is trying to access an online jave script.

Please advice.

Please re-post if this is still an issue to the Legacy Application Development SDKs Forum or purchase a case and have a dedicated support engineer work with you directly

Hi

-What is the exact error message.

-How you have installed the application?From CD or from network.

-If you have installed through CD then you need to copy all the contents on the local drive then install.

-If you have installed through network then you need to turn off the firewall.

- Are you logged in as an Administrator.

-Check with the DEP option.

Hi,

I could't send you the snapshot of the error but the error is:

A runtime error has occured.

Do you wish to Debug?

Error:Unspecified error.

We didn't install the application using the CD. We download the executable and ran it.

Ghazaleh,

Ensure that the check for updates under the help menu is not selected and try unchecking Show Online resources located on the start page as those will cause CR to try and connect to their related web sites.

I tired that also. I still get the same error message.
