Deletion of SO from MASS never suggested as may be dletetion of SO would impact on some other dependent data base tables also like LIKP VBFA and VBRK as well more over it would be impact your accounting document as well.
so generally we preffer delete only SO which are open since so long.
preffer either CATT or BDC or BAPI can also be usefull for same.
