Where it is better to maintainExcise details in MM01 or in J1ID

We can maintain the material exice details in MM01 as well as in J1ID.

Which one is better to maintain material Excise details in MM01 or in J1ID.

Hi,

It is better to maintain the Excise Data in J1ID because this is the common transaction for maintaining the excise details for material, vendor, customer and excise rates.

J1ID is master for Excise.

So it's best to maintain here only.

Hi,

It depends on the usage.

J1id- in one shot iu can enter the details related.

in mmo1- u can enter material related data & u need to enter Xk01 also for the vendor.

We prefer to maintain in MM01 only
