Cost element category problem

Hi All,

The account which is a cost element cat. of "1" is not allowing to be entered in the TC:OKB9 and we are getting an error message which states "It must be a Revenue element to be assigned to a profit center".

Useually, system will allow all categories of cost element in TC: OKB9 but why system threws error in our case?

Dear

You might be doing wrong assining of catergaory . if it is a revenue account u have to assign 11 or 12 categaory then only u can able to assign co object in OKB9 .

revenue cost elemnet with categaory 1 , is wrong .

Hi,

You can only assign a profit center to a Revenue cost element and not to a expenses CE. Check if you the cost element is a revenue or expeses account. The account migh tnot be a revenue account or change the account assignment object.

Click on F1 help when the error appears, it will clearly state the reason for the error.
