what is the difference between these two fields

VPSTA (Direct input: field MARA-VPSTA (full maintenance status)

PSTAT (Direct input: field MARA-PSTAT (maintenance status))

Hi,

MARA-PSTAT (Maintenance status) contains the views maintained for a material master. For e.g. KEDLQBGV

MARA-VPSTA (Complete Maintenance status) contains the views maintained for a material master along with following 2 more views; as KEDLQBGZXV

X Plant stocks

Z Storage location stocks

These get created automatically for material.

MARA-PSTAT (Maintenance status)

The Above Contains the Material Master Views Maintained for material master. For Eg: KEDLQBGV Here You cannot Create Plant Stock & Storage Location Stock Views During MM01.

MARA-VPSTA (Complete Maintenance status)

The Above Contains the Material Master Views Maintained for material master. For Eg: KEDLQBGZXV

The Additional Views are X Plant stocks & Z Storage location stock Which you cannot Create While Material Master ann but can be seen Using MM03 Display For Plant Stocks.

The first one related to the fields u selected at the time of material master created.

Second one is automaticakky generated with plant stock & storage location stock

Which user departments have already maintained the material master

record at a particular hierarchy level.

VPSTA:Complete maintainence status of material.
