Information Broadcasting

Hi Experts,

Currently we are working on BW 3.5 and we have not used Information Broadcasting.

Client is looking to upgrade it to BI 7.0. Does BI 7.0 support broad coast of excel files.

Hi,

Well BI 7.0 does have the option of Information Broadcast. But if you want to see your report in Excel, you have in-built command for that in WAD 7.0.

There are lot of commands which have been defined in WAD 7 like Export Web Template, open bookmark, save bookmark etc etc..

When you choose the command, export web template, you can select in which format you want to export it. By default it is a PDF, but you can change this to Excel, CSV etc.. and also you can specify a whole lot of other things like headers, footers, page size..

This would give you a list of all commands in WAD 7. Based on your requirement, you can view them and work on them.
