Error at post install steps (Oracle, AIX, IDES R/3 47 sr2)

Hello!

I downloaded and installed SAP IDES R/3 enterprise 47sr2 from sap site.

The error appear after first login into SAP under SAP* user

Runtime errors START_CALL_SICK

......

SAP release 620

Operating system AIX

Release 5.3

SAP kernel 640

Patch level 21

The termination occured in the ABAP program "SAPMSYST" in "D020_SNC_CHECK_EXTID"

After this I can to click at "Start easy access" button and open the user menu.

I try to make the step 5.4 "Checking SAP System Services" by call SM28 transaction (SAP SYSTEM CHECK) and I got the next message "OS release AIX 3 5 is not supported with this kernel 640". In the same time SM50 show me the processes, SM21 show me the system log.

What is my next manipulations?

Hi,

You have the SAP kernel 6.40, patch level 21. In most cases this issue is resolved by downloading and updating to the latest kernel stack (SAPEXE.SAR / SAPEXEDB.SAR) as per note #19466. The AIX version 5.3 needs to have a kernel higher than the current level 6.40, 21.
