Hi,

Inquiry and quatation are comes under pre sales activities only. Because as soon as you create a sale order that means you have done one sales. But when u create inquiry and qutation then u have not done any sales. So these are pre sales activities only..

HI,

Since CRM has been come into market , pre sales activity upto oerder creation of sales order comers under CRM

Pre sales involves-

-cold calling

-promotion call

-Taking down inquiring and forward this lead to concern person

also includes functions for supporting Sales and Distribution using pre-sales data, processing and maintaining data about contact persons and interested parties, functions for executing mailing promotions, evaluating data on competitors and their products, and different functions for displaying information about the customer.

Like mail from customer for order or telephonic booking of order, Faxing of order.. all these activities are called pre sale activities..
