Workitems Deletion

Hi All,

There are currently over 90,000 workitems for one dialog step(TS) in QM Movement Notification Workflow(WS9). These workitems are causing SAP to time out before users can open their SAP inbox. I need to delete the workitems already generated . can you plz suggest me? How can i delete all?

All are Workitem type-->dialog step

Status--> Most are in Ready

some are in Completed

Priority--> 1 Highest-Express

Hi,

Use the TCODE SWWL to delete WORK ITEMS..

Or use standard program SWWWIDE

And for your information to delete messages from inbox can use the program RSSODLIN.

I am using production system.can i delete all workitems by using SWWL tcode ?

Hi,

If you have access you can by mentioning the date and other criteria in Selection-screen of Tcode

or else use the function module SWW_WI_ADMIN_CANCEL to delete WI and maintain the Logs.

Using the Tcode the logs are not maintained.

So use either of them depending on the authorization and necessity of logs.

Never use Tcode SWWL in production. It is better you use a program that uses the FM mentioned in previous posting and delete the Wflow logically.

Thanks for your response?may i know why SWWL not in Production?what 's the diff between Logical deletion and deletion form users inbox.if i use that FM how can i delete 90000 Workitems?
