Hello,

If the asset was deactivated few months ago until user realised that the asset was not supposedly retired, can i re-instate the asset by using the existing asset no? or i need to create a new asset, or change table data?

Any good suggestion?

Thank you very much in advance!

One option you have is, Using AS02 transaction code change the deactivation date

Is there any impact if simply remove the Deactivation date via AS02? thanks.

Hi

No impact. It starts calculation of depreciation again. See the below

Once an asset has been deactivated, you can no longer post to the asset (with one exception: posting a reversal of the last retirement). In order for you to be able to make correction postings after an asset has been deactivated, you can also manually change the deactivation date in the asset master record.

Hi Srinivas,

When you remove the deactivation is AS02 Nothing is hapening or you have to make a posting on the asset!

The old posting is not reversed with this.

Paul is correct. You have to reverse the document. Using AS02 will not do that.
