Planning/Budget Profile always required for Project Profile?

Are planning and budget profiles always required fields for Project Profile?

Project Profile contains values you wish to get defaulted, when a project is created with that profile. Hence there is not a single field which is mandatory in project profile. Try creating a new profile in OPSA, just put the name and save, system wont ask for any mandatory values. Field selection is controlled at project definition level, not profile level.

Thanks for your reply. May I know if you could advise relevance of the planning and budget profile? what if I do not specify them in my Project Profile? What will be the impact or default values if they are not specified in the project profile.

If you dont mention profiles in project profile, you can enter them in Proj Defn. If you have mentioned, they will get defaulted in proj defn which can be changed in proj defn.

Planning profile is reqd for cost/revenue planning and Budget profile for budgeting.
