changes needed with different client.

Hi,

we are using FILE,IDOC,JMS MQ ,ABAP Proxy and See burger adapters with sender and receiver aswell.

we are using Master SLD ..I mean single SLD.

Client has asked for testing the interfaces...

we are using

XI box with client as 200

R3 box with client as 217.

All the connections are done with R3 client 217.

No my problem is...

My client has asked to test my interfaces with R3 client 216.

what are the changes i need to change in XI for R3 client 216....please let me know

You have to change this the client numbers only in adapters (those are communicating with SAP systems) and in RFC destination in SM59.

- Change this client no. in Idoc receiver adapter.

- RFC destination

- RFC adapter if you are using it.

Hi,

Update the client id in the Technical system. This will update the same in business system.Try to reimport that in ID

Trigger the ABAP proxy code from the SAP system (client: 216)

Hi,

The Following things needs to be take care in this Activity

1) No Need to create Another TS for SAP R/3, this will not allow you to create another one.

2) Just Add the Business system for the Existing TS with Client 216 and also take care abt the Logical System Name here.

3) Refresh SLD Data Cache in IDEnvironment-

4) Now Use this New Business System for Communication which is having the New Client and Corresponding LS Name

do i need to change the client.I mean while creating the name space,it ask for import of RFC and IDOC from SAP systems permitted.There we provide the client as 217 right...if we change that,dont we loose the IR part....

If your sender system changes you dont need to make any changes in IR,changes are only required in ID in terms of configuration.

As long as the IDOC/RFC is same in both the clients,you dont need any changes in IR.

Just configure ID so that it can receiver messages from other client system.

Yes ( Receiver Determination - you need to select the respective Business System, Communication Channel to the respective Business System, Etc )

HI,

Need to change below settings for client 216.

1. Need to change Technical & business system information

2. Change RFC destination according to client in IDOC adapter

3. Need to change logon information in ABAP proxy according to client.

4. Need to change information according to client for See Burget Adaper

5. Component & Business system need to import again for new client.
