MP38 Execute Mass Forecast

Hi All

Please help me to understand the following

What is the use of transaction MP38?

At which criteria this transaction get execute the Mass Forecast?

Actually my issue is I am having 6000 materials with forecasting view but eventhough while executing MP38 it process only 150 materials. I am unable to find the reason of cause why it picks only 150.

Note : I checked the all MRP area indicator.

Any of you people could please guide to understand the logic behind selecting materials.

Hi,

MPBT is used for background run and MP38 for mass forecast run. We run MP38 (program RMPROG01) in the background to calculate the reorder level and the safety stock level. On the basis of consumption value manitain in material master.

WHAT IS THE BASIS OF THIS 6000 MATERIALS?

WHETHER CONSUMOTION DATA IS AVAILABLE FOR ALL THESE 6000 MATERIALS?

TO GET FORCAST FOR ANY MATERIAL CONSUMOTION DATA IS REQUIRED, HENCE IN THE MATERIAL MASTER, IN ADDIONAL DATA SCREEN IN COSNSUMPTION TAB PAGE CHECK WHETHER YOU HAVE CONSUMPTION DATA?
