hi Ravi,
Can u explain about include text.
what to write in the following
text name,
text object,
text id.
do i need to maintain the two text fields
one for header text
and
other for fetching the data from internal table.
and
then making the header text one "include text".

Hi Dakshu,
You find these values in the transaction.
Each and every Transaction has its own text.
For Example:
Goto the Sales text Tab in Material Master transaction MM01, at the left end bottom you can find the Text Editor Push button.
Select the text and press the Text editor push button now you can see the text editor. in that Menu path
Goto ---> Header
Now you get a Text editor screen there you can find the the values of these fields.
Text Name
Language
Text ID
Text Object
Best regards,
raam
Hey dakshu,
Go to the std transaction where the field is being entered
double click on the text
a text editor opens up
then in the menu bar Goto -> Header
then you will get all the details maintained there like text name . language , id etc.
You dont need two text element
just create one and then make it as include text and then populate them.
you can hard code Language , text id and text object
but your text name keeps changing.
declare a variable say v_tname type thead-tdname.
Text name will normally be the document number for header text and combination of document number and line item number for line item text.
Appropriately populate your value in v_tname
Then in your include text give it like &v_tdname&

Dakshu,
How are you dispaying it on your screen.
Have you looped your internal table and then displaying it thru work area ?
i had suggest you to create it using an include text.
right click-> create -> text.
Then change the text type to include text
give the text name , object , id , language
make sure to check the field 'No error if no text exists' .
Regards,
Ravi

Hi,
Check the width of the header window in your smartform.
See that you have drag and drop the fields in the text.
