Error Message no. VP197

Hi Gurus!

I have created sales inquiry and trying to create sales quotation wrt to the same. The material used for the same is a sales BOM. It does not get exploded in an inq but does explode in quote. but when i try to save the quotation i get an error Message no. VP197 (sold to party no. is not maintained for sales area.

This stops me from saving the sales document(quotation)

kindly help me on the same.

Dear Amol

It seems the sales area in which you have created the quotation is not the same as the sold to party you have created.

For example, the sold to party's sales area would be 1000/10/00 whereas, the quotation would have been created in 1000/20/00 in the initial screen of VA21. Ensure that both the sales area is same.

I have checked cofig and material master as well. It is exactly as per your advise. Still the problem persists.
