Review and clean up old queries/workbooks

Hi Experts,

I have doubt in tracing out the Unused workbooks in BW 3.5.

Is there a easy/automated way that we can run statistics of workbooks every 3 months and identify workbooks that are not being used.

I tried using the standard statistics workbooks and one of the RS* tables- but did not get much luck.

Now i have to get the information on unused workbooks. Is there any automated process to trace out the unused workbooks list.

Thanks in Advance

Regards

Prasad

Hi,

Try:

RRMX_WORKBOOKS_GARBAGE_COLLECT -- identifies and removes orphaned workbooks.

RSWB_ROLES_REORG -- deletes favorites attached to deleted workbooks.

OSS Note 385219 -- identifies many workbook cleanup programs.

Table RSRREPDIR -- Directory of all reports (workbooks or queries?)

As always, test these out in DEV first so you know what these programs will do!

Brian...

We have had issues with RSRREPDIR - we found some queries that did not exist in RSRREPDIR. Suggest that you look at RSZCOMPDIR for the queries / workbooks.

P.S thought that this would be useful information even though the post is marked as answered....
