LDAP Single Sign On integration with Business Objects XI

Hi,

We use LDAP(Oracle Internet Directory server) for single sign on across our organization. Our requirement is to integrate the OID SSO with Business Objects Enterprise XI.

As per BO documentation, LDAP SSO authentication can be used with SiteMinder token. Can a LDAP SSO authentication be done using OID or is SiteMinder the only product that BO supports for LDAP SSO authentication?

Appreciate any help on this which would help us in deciding our authentication approach to BO XI.

Thanks,

If you have BusinessObjects Enterprise XI Release 2 Service Pack 2 or newer, then there's support for Oracle Internet Directory server - so you can migrate your Users to the Enterprise system.

As for LDAP Single Sign-On, SiteMinder is currently the only validated solution.

Java InfoView and the Enterprise SDK supports "Trusted Authentication". You can configure Java InfoView to read the User Identity from the HTTP Header 'Osso-User-Dn' OID SSO sets, and use that with Trusted Auth.

You can read further about Trusted Authentication in the XI Release 2 or XI 3.0 BusinessObjects Enterprise Admin Guide.

Sincerely,

Ted Ueda
