Hi people,
I want to know if I install the SAP gui in an operating system Windows Vista Home Basic or Premium?
More Thanks
Nope do not install it it is not supported as per sap note 66971 - it will fail definitely.
Also the sdn site - https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/sap-gui#section13
and the platform availability document supports this.

I have the same problem.
I have Windows Vista Home Premium Operating System.
After checking some of the sdn forums postings,
I created a folder on C drive and downloaded / saved / ran
ftp://ftp.sap.com/pub/sapgui/win/710/compilation2/50088654_4.zip file
and then downloaded / saved latest patch
ftp://ftp.sap.com/pub/sapgui/win/710/patches/gui710_9.exe into the same folder.
Then i tried to run setup.bat file, but was unsuccessful.
Then, I ran SapGuiSetup.exe file .and followed the steps needed for SAP Front End Installation wizard as listed in the screenshots in http://cba.uah.edu/tutorials/sap.html
After restarting the system, I clicked on the SAP Logon icon.
But, I am NOT able to see to see any systems there.
Please help!
