Lot Size in MTO?

Hello SAP friends.

I have a little problem with MTO, strategy 20 and Fix Lot Size.

Scenario:

My client receive a a sales order for on FG quantity 10 UN. MRP run and system proposes 1 PldOrd quantity 10 UN for the requirement (Sales Order).

My client don't produce the 10 UN because the production process is very complicated so he's going to produce 1 at time.

My question:

How can I use Fixed Lot Size with MTO strategy 20 in SAP? Is there any possibility that system creates 10 PldOrd quantity 1 UN for the sales order quantity 10 UN?

Hi,

Check with the Lot size customization: OMI4.

With the lot size FX : At the bottom, there is an option for Lot size for Sales Order Planning.

Here select the Option 1 - Lot-for-lot with rounding

The system calculates the order quantity using the lot-for-lot order quantity and it also takes the rounding quantity or the minimum and maximum lot sizes into account.

You can maintain th Minimum and Max lot size which can be used for SO Planning.

Material Master:

MRP 1

Lot Size: FX

Min Lot Size: 1

Max Lot Size: 1

Fix Lote Size: 1

Rounding Value: 1

OMI4 (FX)

Like you said!!!

I run the MRP and 1 PldOrd with quantity 10 UN...

Hi Adelmo,

This is the only option available.

If the indicator is 1, then system should consider the Min and Max lot size in the Material Master.

But, as you said, it is not working.. I guess no other option..

Change the lot size to EX and same settings in OMI4, try this, may work..not very sure..

Solution

OMI4

Copy of EX to a Z(Something... never change SAP Standard)

Lot Size: SOP: 1

Material Master

Lot Size: Z*

Minimum Lot Size: 1

Maximum Lot Size: 1

Rounding Value: 1

HI,

To fix the problem you r facing follow the given process.

Check with the Lot size customization: OMI4.

With the lot size FX: At the bottom, there is an option for Lot size for Sales Order Planning.

Here select the Option 2 - Lot size as in short-term period

The system calculates the order quantity using the Fixed lot size given in Material master MRP 1.

This will create planned order for the fixed lot size given in the material master.

Try it it works.

Hi, please check in TX OMD7 or OMDY, the quantity in MAX.PUR.ORD.PR.(max ord ord propose). Change or leave blank that field and test MD02.

Change Material (mm02) in MRP FX , and fixed lot size 1

Hy Adelmo,

Then just set the Fix lot size = 1 only.

Then run MRP.You will find 10 Plan orders as per your requirement.
