Deleting Partially Counted Physical Inventory Documents

The system does allow the deletion of a partially counted/posted physical inventory document. It provides a warning but does allow the user to delete the document. What is the impact of deleting a partially counted document? If a partially counted document crosses over a fiscal period is the only option to delete the document since you can only post the document within the period it was created?

Thei impact is:

The items get a deletion mark. The document is considered as completed.

this ensures that you can carry out a new inventory, otherwise you cannot create a new inventory as SAP allows only one active inventory for a material/storage location.

Thanks for the reply. Are the counts reversed for those articles that were already posted before the document was deleted?
