Journal Entry Posting - IDOC_INPUT_FIDCC1

First of all, pardon my FI/CO newbie question, but I have not worked with the FI/CO modules.

My functional specialist is telling me that IDOC_INPUT_FIDCC1 merely puts data into some table and I have to write a BDC/call transaction program to call FB01 to process that data.

My answer is that the FM interface, as well as some of the code downstream in the FM's logic, suggests that an accounting document of some kind is created by this function module. Unfortunately, there's no FM documentation for this module.

I have specifications to utilize a custom version, essentially a wrapper, which calls IDOC_INPUT_FIDCC1, then does some additional things, if IDOC_INPUT_FIDCC1 is successful.

Question: my input is IDOC FIDCCP01, and I see segments with DR and CR values. When the IDOC_INPUT_FIDCC1 executes, has it created the JE postings that my functional guy wants? If not, what kind of Accounting Doc has been created, if any?

Hey Dave,

So did it create documents for Journal entries? I have similar requirements however I have some custom fields to be included which will definitely require enhancement. It will be good if you help me with the fact that it will create JE documents, I will do further research for enhancement.
