Hi,
What is a DIP Profile?
How does a DIP profile affect the Quotation Creation process (from a service order specifically)?
Where are DIP profiles for the Quotation process configured?
Please Help.
Regards,
Laura
DIP Profile is an integration point of SD and PS. DIP Profile is maintained through T.Code: ODP1, which is called in Business process through DP90 / DP91.
It is mainly used in scenario for Resource related Billing.

Hi,
DIP refers to Dynamic Item Processor. DIP Profile when assigned linked to an item in an Inquiry can be used to generate Quotaions, as you rightly pointed. Actually, DIP helps you by calculating the costs and providing a place for you to enter the price (after adding your profit margin). The transactions DP81 can be used to generate a Quotation ( if a DIP profile is assigned to the item in the Inquiry Document). Similarly, DP91 can be used to create a Billing Request.
