2LIS_46_SCL Extractor - Large data packets

Former Member

When doing our init loads into Global Trade Managment (GTM) using the delivered 2LIS_46_SCL extractor we are getting "TSV_TNEW_PAGE_ALLOC_FAILED". The reason for the "TSV_TNEW_PAGE_ALLOC_FAILED" errors is that all of the R/3 data (128,000+ records) are coming into BI in one packet. That packet is too large for BI to process in one step, so it runs out of memory.

We have limited the packet size on the "Init" load InfoPackage as per the instructions in OSS note 417307, but this does not work. All of the R/3 data still comes across in one packet.

We have reviewed the OSS notes ( 409641, 138794 ,631710, 157652) and we have checked the profile parameter in note 166551. None of this has fixed our problem.

Mike...

SAP fixed the problem by creating OSS note 1250768. The extractor now sends smaller packet sizes and we no longer get the out of memory errors.

hi

if you have passed through all the possible options on the standard side.

check if there is no customer enhancement/enrichment that could be optimized.

Sometimes coding could be improved.

if this is not the case.

the last alternative is to ask your customer and basis to add some memory (physically and the change the related paramters in rz11 roll/area memory etc...

let us know the final solution or resolution you could get

bye and regards

Jorge,

I checked the global parameter setting and the package size is set to 50,000 records and the partition size is to 10,000 records. I read in one of the many OSS notes on this topic that some extractors ignore all the global setting and InfoPackage settings when they create packets.

The weird part is that other LO Cockpit extractor that we have activated use these global parameter setting.

Hello,

Check in tcode : RSCUSTV6 for PSA partitioning

and tcode : SBIW -> Data Transfer to the SAP Business Information Warehouse -> General Settings -> Maintain Control Parameters for Data Transfer.
