Upload bank statement -"Sum of line items does not match closing balance"

Hello,

When uploading a bank statement (via transaction FF_5), I get the error message: Sum of line items does not match closing balance.

However, when I take the opening balance and deduct items & add items, the closing balance seems to match.

Has anyone received this kind of message as well?

Hi,

Are you using BAI format or MT format. In any case, check the file sent by the Bank if the amounts are wrongly feeded in. This error occours when the SAP bank balance is not the same with the main bank balance. The file might have some errors in the amount fields. Check the same and then upload the statement it should work

We are using following format:SWIFT MT940 with field 86 structure.

Do you have more information about this format?

Some days it goes well, other days we get this message.

I don't understand why this happens.
