Hi all,
What is the difference between, Deadline field and Validity end filed in RFQ (ME41).
Validity start and refers to which period?.
Thanks.
Hi,
Quotation Deadline date represents the Deadline for Submission of Bid/Quotation. i.e
Date by which the vendor is to submit the quotation.
Validity Start : Represents the conditions in the quotation should be valid from that date.
Validity End: Represents the conditions in the quotation should be valid till that date.
Eg.: Company 'ABC' floats a RFQ for procurement of material 'YY' on 05.09.2008. The quotation submission deadline is 15.09.2008 and the quotation should be valid from 15.09.2008 to 14.09.2009
Sometimes, people refer the Validity End date as same as deadline date of the quotation submission.
Hope, this clarifies.
Regards,
Narayana.

Hi,
Quotation Deadline: - Deadline for Submission of Bid/Quotation. Date by which the vendor is to submit the quotation. Here you are giving vendor a particular date by which he has to get back with his quotation. And after this, his quotations will not be accepted.
Validity end: - End of the period in which the quotation is to be submitted.
And here you not only specify the Validity end, you also specify the Validity start so here you are giving vendor a range of dates means period within which he has to send his quotation.
